These tips helped me on saving money so I do hope that it’ll help you also. 화이팅~

Tip # 1 : Piggy Bank

Piggy bank or alkansya is very essential for a fangirl like me. Of course, dito mapupunta ang iyong pera para kay oppa. Another tip para naman makapag-save ka ng mas maraming pera, gawin mong DIY piggy bank. For example, may makita kang isang garapon diyan then you cover it with something presentable sabay dikit ng picture ni BIAS. I swear, mas magiging inspired kang mag-ipon. 👌🏼

Tip # 2 : Bring snacks to school.

To be honest, I always bring lunch or baon to school. This will really help you on saving money. I mean, hindi naman nakakahiya na lahat sila McDo ang kinakain then ikaw, may dalang lunchbox, diba? Sobrang laki na ng maiipon mo if you’re always bringing snacks to school. And if hindi naman talaga kayang magbaon for some reasons, as much as possible, do not buy expensive meals. Doon tayo sa budget or student meal. 😉

Tip # 3 : Bring the amount of money you only need and leave the rest at home.

This is very helpful. Di naman talaga natin maiiwasan na mapagastos minsan, diba? So to be safe, mag-iwan ka na sa bahay nyo ng pera. At least, kahit gumastos ka sa araw na yun, you already saved money for the day. 

Tip # 4 : Sell some of your pre-loved stuffs that you don’t need anymore.

In my case, I already did this one. But it wasn’t my pre-loved stuffs, it was my K-Pop merchandise. And if I am not mistaken, I earned 4,500 pesos.

And yes, your pre-loved stuffs will do. I have an internet friend who did this through a garage sale. She bought a concert ticket with the money she earned.

Nakatulong ka na nga sa needs at wants ng iba, nakapag-ipon ka pa. Utakan lang ‘to! 😅

Tip # 5 : Don’t underestimate a peso or a cent.

“Ay piso lang yan, oh sayo na.”

Do not!! Sabi nga nila, hindi mabubuo ang 100 pesos kung walang piso. So kahit 25 cents pa man yan o piso, ipunin mo lang. Time will pass by, magiging 1000 din yan. Tiwala lang. Or if you have spare change, ilagay mo agad sa piggy bank mo. 💪🏻

Tip # 6 : Virtual or Live?

Ako, as a fangirl, natuto na ako. Yes, I’m still buying official albums para makatulong sa sales nila pero hindi na madalas. Nilalayo ko na sarili ko sa mga merch especially unofficial merch like posters, pins and all. Let me ask you a question. Makita sila sa isang papel (poster) or makabili ng papel na makikita mo sila (concert ticket)?? Be wise, mga kapatid!

Tip # 7 : Learn to say NO.

“Uy tara, Starbucks tayo!” “Ay pass muna ako, gumala naman na tayo kahapon diba?”

Kung talagang mahal ka ng mga kaibigan mo, maiintindihan nila ‘yan. Hindi naman sa tinatanggalan kita ng social life, pero humindi ka din kahit minsan. (the things we do for oppa nga naman oh!)

Tip # 8 : Love yourself. ❤️

And lastly, love yourself. Just because you’re saving money, don’t be too hard on yourself. I’m usually seeing posts like, “Walang kakain!” just because they’re saving money. No, don’t do that. Don’t starve yourself. Mahal ka ng bias mo, so paano mo sila makikita if magkakasakit ka, right? ☺️
